q
What is RevEx?
RevEx is a spreadsheet import and export utility that allows the user to quickly extract data, import new data, and modify existing Revit elements while making use of their favorite spreadsheet application.
q
Why choose RevEx?
Spreadsheets are an integral part of the Architectural, Engineering, and Construction industry. Whereas Autodesk Revit shines when it comes to modeling it leaves something to be desired in regards to spreadsheet and data management. RevEx enhances the current capabilities of Revit, allowing you to use the tools you are comfortable with whilst not impeding the modeling utility that Revit offers.
q
How will RevEx reduce production time and save money?
The true power of Building Information Modeling lies in the communication between all elements in a project. By creating a living model, you make your tools do the work for you instead of mindlessly changing lines and text as was the way of the past. RevEx extends the current functions of Autodesk Revit by allowing you to quickly update model information from your own spreadsheets. In doing this you no longer have to spend the time individually selecting elements, changing values, and confirming accuracy; RevEx does all of that for you. Furthermore, for those whom aren’t used to Autodesk Revit, RevEx allows them to take part in the modeling process without ever having to open a Revit document. RevEx lets you make the most of your tools to help you get the job done faster and more efficiently.

q
What is RevXL?
RevXL is a spreadsheet data link utility that allows users to import their existing Microsoft Excel spreadsheets into Revit while preserving formatting, fonts, and information.
q
Why choose RevXL?
Spreadsheets are in integral part of the AEC industry. Whether containing equipment and material information, scheduling building components, or simply adding additional clarifications on important building data, spreadsheets provide valuable information and insight that your projects cannot be completed without. Given how important these spreadsheets are, why are there no existing systems in place to allow user to easily link their own personal spreadsheets into Revit while maintaining existing fonts and formats? The omission of such a utility is one of the more limiting components of using Autodesk Revit.

RevXL bridges that gap between what architects, engineers, and designers need and the tools they use to get the job done. RevXL allows user to link in existing spreadsheets from Microsoft Excel into Revit while still preserving fonts and formats. RevXL has a simple yet comprehensive design which allows user to easily link and update their data spreadsheets in Revit with one click. Once the links are created the users can then drag and drop these spreadsheets on the desired sheets in one click.
q
How will RevXL reduce production time and save money?
RevXL simplifies the cumbersome aspects that exist within Autodesk Revit. Native to Revit, the only way to create a spreadsheet is to use elements that are placed in the model. This requires users to modify and create their parameters perfectly to create schedules that reflect the information they want to show. While this workflow is feasible in certain instances, it’s not something that can always be done and it is incredibly time consuming. RevXL saves days’ worth of time by allowing users to make use of their existing spreadsheets and formats while bypassing the existing Revit workflow. The result of all this is you get the results you want, in significantly less time, and in the formats you are used to.

Design Automation, Measurement, and Annotation Tools for Autodesk Revit

Coming Soon!

q
What are RevTools?
RevTools are an assortment of different addins that increase design efficiency by simplifying repetitive tasks and extending the existing capabilities of Autodesk Revit.
q
What tools are included in RevTools?
Airflow Measuring Utility – A measurement utility that sums total airflows for selected spaces. Airflow Measuring Utility can be used to total airflows for both calculated and specified airflows across supply, return and exhaust systems.

Measure Utility – A measurement utility that allows user to measure multiple lengths, volumes, distances, and areas at once and totals the values of the selected elements. Measure Utility works for both linked and non-linked models.

Schedule Export Utility – A utility that allows users to export both regular schedules and panel schedules to Microsoft Excel.

MEP Space Namer – An annotation utility that allows users to automatically name space elements with their respective room name and numbers from the architectural models. This utility allows for duplicate names and suppresses any warnings thrown by Revit in the process.

Spare Amps Utility – A design automation utility that allows electrical engineers and designers to automatically change the spare amps rating of circuits for selected panel elements in Revit.
q
Why choose RevTools?
RevTools is a comprehensive toolkit of Revit Addins that puts the power of BIM in the hands of the users. RevTools will decrease production time by automating repetitive tasks such as changing spare amps ratings and naming spaces. RevTools also provide the user with powerful measurement utilities that allows them to quickly create quantity take offs as well as airflow totals for duct sizing. Moreover, users can export existing schedule data from Revit into Microsoft Excel, allowing them to do data analysis and manipulation that would otherwise be impossible within Revit.
